I don’t exactly remember when we moved from our trusted Mohun Cornflakes to Kellogg’s, but we did. Perhaps the reason was better packaging or the promise of a foreign brand then. Mohun improved its packaging but I don’t frequently see it on supermarket shelves. How much role does packaging a product play in making a product a “hot”-selling sensation? How deep are advertisers and sellers ready to delve into consumer psyche and buying patterns to determine which design will attract the customer? This one will give you an example: the rabbit on a cornflakes pack looks down for a reason – a very interesting one at that!
