A psychologist, Walter Mischel, devised a test (The Marshmallow Test) to determine self-control in children. Over years, he found that children who could delay their gratification (exhibit better self-control and could wait for a better outcome) grew up to be better adults. However, Mischel himself struggled for years to quit smoking till he found his eureka moment and could do so. What was that eureka-moment?
