The author indicates how building a museum that documents 1000 years of Polish Jewish History is a small miracle. The history of Polish-Jewish relations has been a tortured one before, during and after World War II. Historically, Jews in Poland have been victims of hatred for a long time. This anti-Semitism is slowly declining with young Poles discovering their Jewish roots or with non-Jewish Poles taking interest in debates, exhibitions and discussions on Jewish culture.
